RuleDescription
1The Association shall be called Newport Pagnell Fishing Association and shall be managed by a committee comprising of a maximum of 14 members, 4 to form a quorum.
2The committee shall appoint from its number a Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Head Bailiff, Fisheries Officer and such other designations as are appropriate.
3The committee shall have powers to co-opt members to fill vacancies or to undertake specific duties. Such appointments to be subject of ratification at the next AGM.
4At each AGM, one third of the committee number shall present themselves for re election. Selection to be based on the length of service since the last AGM appointment.
5An Annual General meeting of the members shall be held each year. The committee shall be responsible for presenting an audited statement of account to the AGM.
6Camping is not allowed on any of our venues. A maximum stay of 12 hours applies to all river stretches and then no return within 12 hours. A maximum stay of 3 nights applies to still waters and then no return to the same pit within 24 hours.
7Each angler may use a maximum of 3 rods at any one time, EXCEPT for the Kingfisher and rivers, where only 2 may be used, subject to the member purchasing an additional permit from the Secretary. Appropriate Environment Agency licenses MUST be held. The total distances between all rods in use must not exceed 3mtrs or any other lower limit that may be introduced through regional bylaws.
8Members and other persons must show their sport tickets or license to any water bailiff, landowner or any other member if requested to do so.
9No member shall leave rubbish of any description on the bank. No dogs shall be allowed and no approach shall be made to the water through mown grass or growing crops. All gates shall be closed after passing through. No rubbish shall be thrown in to the water. Numbered pegs shall not be removed without authorisation. Members will be responsible for any litter at their peg
10Tournaments or competitions may be held at the discretion of the committee. Stretches reserved for such matches shall be shown in the official fixture list. Members have no rights to reserve stretches for exclusive use in unofficial matches. Venues shown in the official fixture list must be vacated at least 2 hours before the draw time shown.
11The committee reserves the right of granting or refusing tickets to anyone.
12Members are not to carry guns unless authorised by the owner of the shooting rights.
13No alteration can be made to any rule unless 14 days notice is given in writing to the secretary prior to the Annual General Meeting.
14Keep nets must be minimum size of 8ft x 15ins if round. 8ft a 15ins x 10ins if rectangular, or any such size as the Environment Agency may require.
15Except for official work parties, No boats, dinghies or other water vessels including bait boats, are allowed.
16Members may purchase guest tickets. Members must accompany their guests on the water and shall be responsible for acquainting them with the Rules of the Association. Otherwise day tickets are not available. Guest tickets cannot be purchased on the bank.
17Neither the Association nor the committee, Trustees or landowners shall be responsible for any sustained or damage committed while fishing or travelling to and from Association waters.
18Use of fixed lead rigs, which cannot release on snagging, are banned when carp fishing.
19This ticket remains the property of the Association and any breach of these rules will render a member liable to expulsion at the sole discretion of the committee.
20Members must use their best endeavours to keep fish alive and return them to the water. Fish retained in Keep nets, Keep sacks etc, must not be left unattended.
21Tins or cans must not be taken onto Association waters.
22No fires to be lit on banks except under the control of official working parties.
23Carp, other than crucians, and barbel are not to be kept in keep nets. If necessary to retain barbel, tubes must be used. This rule does not apply to official matches.
24Fisheries maintenance works, including the lopping of trees, erection of platforms and digging of banks may only be carried out with prior consent of the fisheries development officer.
25When fishing the Kingfisher pit barbless hooks must be used.
26Junior members ( under 16 ) must be accompanied by an adult member at all times when fishing between dusk and dawn.
27In the event of a suspected national record, the captor must ensure that an association officer is notified within 48 hours.
28No bivvies are allowed on river stretches-this includes additional coverings for umbrellas.
29An adult member ( 18yrs or over ) may have in their charge one junior guest under the age of 12yrs. There will be no charge for the child.
30No alcohol is allowed on any association waters.
