3rd Rods
Due to a large amount of members wishing to fish using 3 rods on most still waters, the club is pleased to announce that as from this season 3 rods will be allowed on all still waters (except the Kingfisher) providing a 3rd rod permit has been purchased.
The price of a 3rd rod permit has stayed the same as last year and is priced at £15. Permits can NOT be purchased on the bank or used on any River.
At this time there is 2 ways to purchase the 3rd rod permit:
1: Payment by credit or debit card using PayPal (see
Club Books) page
2: By sending a stamp addressed envelope with a cheque made payable to "Newport Pagnell Fishing Association" for the value of £15 to the club chairman or the club secretary
You can use 3 rods on all Newport waters as long as you have a 3rd rod permit.
Fish Weights
Specimen fish, which must be caught in Association waters and be alive, may be weighed in by any committee member or authorised bailiff of the Association, save that where the captor is authorised to weigh in, two witnesses are required.

Illegal Fishing
Unfortunately illegal fishing is on the increase for reasons we are all aware of. Here is some basic information on what to do if anglers come across illegal fishing.
Do not get into a confrontation, just report it
1) Do not compromise your own safety if you spot anyone fishing illegally, a minority of these people can be quite nasty.
2) If you see such activities in progress please report IMMEDIATELY on the Environment Agency's 24-hour line 0800 80 70 60.
3) Please also report to NPFA on 07949283225 or 01908 610639.
4) If you can get the numbers of any associated vehicles or other identifying information, without getting into confrontation, please do so. Remember your mobile may have a camera, but think safety first.
5) If you find nets, other illegal apparatus or other evidence of fish thieving on or around the banks, take pictures and report that too.
6) Put these numbers in your mobile now, these are your fish these people are stealing.
